They perform with four Su-27Ps and two Su-27UBs, which are REALLY HUGE MACHINES (google them if you're curious), they are much huger than the other airplanes that performed. And now imagine, how hard it is to control those, be in synch, and be close each other. Just wow. The pure energy they had was overwhelming!
There are also videos on Youtube, however it doesn't give the FULL sensation of the show. Neither do the pictures.

Looked up a few images of them side by side with a few other things, and wow... Simply breathtaking. I'd imagine that synchronised performances are hard to pull off anyway, let alone with such massive machines.

Videos are never the same as the real thing, aha. It's good that you got to see it personally, and not just from someone's camera. :)

Yes, I do consider myself lucky to see them live. :) (However, my favs are still the Turkish Stars... well the main reason is also the commenter with their sweet accent and the english-hungarian-turkish mixed language.)
Maybe you'll get the chance to see them, I really wish! So if you have a chance to see them, leave everything and go for it! Well, this air show is once in three years here, but I do think, that they have air shows in your country too and that they are not this rare.

Oh, wow... That sounds really amazing ^^
I saw an air show when I was about 8 or 9, so naturally I don't really remember much of it (I remember being amazed by the size of the planes though, aha). But last year when I went on holiday to Wales (We always go to the same place), because it was about 2 weeks before the olympics, they flew over practicing the stunts and it was absolutely amazing.

It's really awesome indeed! :D Lucky you! Actually this was my first time watching such majestic airplanes. :) Well my hometown does have a hobby airport, and sometimes planes practice performances, but they are "regular" not military planes. And I watched them always from afar, so it was not the same (and I was also very young). I do remember, that US military planes were practicing above our heads when we moved to Hajdúszoboszló (my home town).
But I was 2 years old (and I still remember it! Wow! I just realized this, I just looked up the correct year on wikipedia!)
